Andy Melbourne, Chief Financial Officer of our holding company, K3 Capital Group plc, has been shortlisted for two awards in the upcoming Northern Finance Director Awards.
The annual awards ceremony is centred around recognising and celebrating the exceptional talent of finance directors and their teams across the North of England.
The event will see Andy go up against numerous other nominees to win the awards for Best Finance Director of a Listed Company and Young Northern Finance Director of the Year 2017.
Andy’s inclusion on the shortlist, most especially in relation to his nomination for Best Finance Director of a Listed Company, follows K3 Capital Group’s recent success in listing on the London Stock Exchange and beginning to trade on AIM in April of this year. Upon admission, the Group’s market capitalisation was valued at £40.1m, a value which has rapidly increased to over £62.0m (as of 28th September 2017).
The last three years saw Andy shortlisted for the Young Finance Director of the Year award in the North West Finance Awards, and in 2016, Andy deservedly secured the accolade for the first time. Andy’s nomination for this year is particularly significant, as the Northern Finance Director Awards cover all areas of the North, including Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester and Liverpool, rather than just the North West.
The awards will be presented at a black tie gala dinner on Thursday 5th October at the Radisson Blu Edwardian, a five-star hotel located in one of Manchester’s most celebrated buildings, the historic Free Trade Hall. The event will be sponsored by Barclays, EY and Squire Patton Boggs.
