KBS Corporate has helped to negotiate a deal for Denes Natural Pet Care Limited based in Hove, East Sussex. The acquirer is Petproject Ltd t/a Thrive Pet Foods, who are based in London.
Denes Natural Pet Care Limited was founded in 1951 by Buster Lloyd-Jones, who, during his career, was the most sought after vet in Britain and whose fame spread throughout the world. The company supplies a wide range of natural wet and dry pet food along with remedies and supplements.
The acquirer, Thrive Pet Foods, was founded in 2005 by Anthony Bard and Paul Finger. Similarly to Denes, Thrive offers a range of wet and dry pet foods with a mission to create and offer premium food products for pets whilst communicating with absolute integrity and transparency. The fee was undisclosed but the agreement which will commence on 3rd June 2013 consists of an annual, staged transfer of equity, subject to certain profit targets being achieved.
