Electrifire acquired by New Path

Electrifire “a great fit” for growing fire and security group
Electrifire, a Kent-based specialist in fire alarm installation, access control and CCTV systems, has joined the New Path Fire and Security Group (“New Path”) in a deal overseen by KBS Corporate.
Founded in 2009 by installation and commissioning engineers Paul Lander and Tom Highsted, Electrifire carries out work at over 200 maintenance sites in Kent, Surrey, London and the M25 area, helping to improve the security of premises and ensure the safety and wellbeing of companies’ employees.
Electrifire’s growth has benefited from the arrival in 2016 of sales director Greg Reeves, who has a wealth of experience in designing fire alarm systems along with supporting maintenance clients.
After attracting substantial interest from both trade and investment-oriented buyers, Electrifire decided to proceed with New Path – a Southampton-based group of fire and security companies that acquires well-established businesses which have built up brand recognition and reputation over many years.
“We are delighted to welcome Electrifire to the New Path family,” said Mark Pihlens, New Path’s Corporate Development Director.
“Electrifire is a great fit for our growing business and will strengthen our group’s service capabilities in the vibrant London commercial market.”
Matthew Sibley, KBS Corporate Associate Director, who coordinated the transaction, envisages a very positive future for Electrifire.
“Electrifire’s shareholders wanted to gain extra infrastructure and support to assist their own organic growth,” explained Matthew. “I can only imagine how much extra growth will be facilitated by joining a group of similar companies.
“It’s very satisfying to see Paul and Tom’s industrious efforts to grow their company being rewarded by becoming part of a collective that will be able to support their future endeavours.”
