Sonitech Systems acquired by Churchill Support Services
Security firm found new guardian by KBS
Sonitech Systems has been sold in a deal described as transformative by the CEO of the acquiring company, Churchill Support Services.
Founded in 1991 and based in Sandbach, Cheshire, Sonitech installs and maintains a range of security solutions including intruder, access control, CCTV and warden call systems.
Phil Pugh, Managing Director of Sonitech, instructed KBS to orchestrate a sale of the company to facilitate his retirement plans. Strong levels of interest were generated during a process overseen by Oliver Rigby, Corporate Deal Executive, with Churchill emerging as the successful buyer.
Churchill, based in Chorley, Lancashire, provides a comprehensive array of trusted security services to the public and private sectors, along with facilities management and utility supply solutions.
With nearly 60 years of combined experience and a shared commitment to excellence, Churchill and Sonitech are poised to offer an even stronger, more seamless security experience for clients nationwide.
Citing Sonitech’s advanced electronic expertise, John Melling, Churchill’s CEO, commented: “This acquisition transforms how we deliver security, blending Churchill’s strengths with Sonitech’s innovation.
“With every acquisition, we approach it with people at the forefront. We don’t come in to strip out a company, we look to invest, to grow and to flourish in that sector.
“That’s why Sonitech is such an ideal fit – they are a company with extremely solid foundations and offer an ideal opportunity to truly build a company we believe in.”
KBS Corporate’s Oliver Rigby declared himself “extremely satisfied” with the outcome of the transaction and expressed thanks to Eleanor Smith of Alston Asquith for legal work provided.
