Insider has announced Fahim Amdani, Head of Buyer Intelligence at KBS Corporate Finance, as a finalist in the 2017 North West Young Professionals Awards.
The awards ceremony, which takes place on 20 April 2017 at the Lowry Hotel in Salford, celebrates the achievements of young business professionals in the North West. The event will see Fahim go up against five other nominees for the Young Business Development Professional Award.
After studying economics at The University of Manchester, Fahim moved to London and began working for Barclays Wealth and Investment Management. Here, he held a position on the Middle East Desk, covering high net worth individuals, private banking, alternative investments, private equity, hedge funds, real estate and discretionary portfolio management.
Fahim then began working for JP Morgan, where he was a private banker in the global wealth management division. His role involved managing a portfolio of high net worth NRI (Non-Resident Indian) clients with assets in London.
Fahim joined KBS Corporate Finance last year, heading up the Deal Origination and Buyer Intelligence department. Alongside managing a team of eight Deal Origination Associates and Research Analysts, Fahim’s role is to build and develop relationships with acquisitive trade buyers, private equity investors and international family offices, through understanding their acquisition criteria and introducing M&A solutions and relevant mandates in a bespoke manner.
The development of these direct, ingrained and well-established relationships with acquirers is central to the acquisition process, and Fahim has secured the foundations for many of KBS Corporate Finance’s larger deals.
