    Graduate Services Limited acquired by T/A ServiceMaster Midlands

    Graduate Services Limited has been acquired by Contract Services (Wolverhampton & Wrekin) Limited T/A ServiceMaster Midlands.

    Established in 1995 as a small, family run cleaning business, Graduate Services, based in Stourbridge, has grown since inception to a £200,000 turnover company, offering a diverse range of office, industrial and window cleaning services to commercial customers across the West Midlands.

    The buyer, ServiceMaster Midlands is a leading commercial contract cleaning company, with over 50 years experience in servicing all types of buildings including offices, hotels, retail outlets, hospitals, public entertainment venues, schools and even the airline industry. Operating as part of the larger ServiceMaster Franchise operation, but providing a local service, ServiceMaster Midlands is able to offer additional services from across the franchise including furniture repair, carpet cleaning, lawncare and a disaster restoration response service.

    Acting on behalf of client Geoff Marsh, Ryan Bilsborough, Deal Executive at KBS Corporate, identified trade buyer David Edwards of ServiceMaster Midlands utilising the extensive research resources provided by KBS to enable a highly targeted approach. Within only five weeks of the sales and marketing process commencing, and only seven weeks after instructing KBS Corporate to sell the Company, a deal had been agreed, completing on 27th November 2013 for an undisclosed sum.

    Opting for an all-inclusive legals option on the KBS Corporate Contract, vendor Geoff Marsh was advised by Gateley LLP during the legal process, assisted throughout by KBS Corporate. Ryan Bilsborough commented, “It was fantastic that we brokered a deal so quickly for my client Geoff. It was important to him that all of the existing staff would remain in place. The structure of the deal allowed Geoff an immediate exit and the transfer over of all staff, ensuring the safety of their roles.
