IEP STRENGTHENS PLASTICS OFFERING WITH MARCOL FABRICATIONS
KBS Corporate Deal Executive Steve Alcock has advised on the sale of Marcol Fabrications (Plastics) Ltd to Industrial Engineering Plastics Ltd (IEP).
Marcol was founded in 1990 by Colin Vye and Mark Godfrey, combining 50 years of experience in the plastics fabrication and engineering industry.
Over the course of three decades, the Bristol-based company has enhanced its complete manufacture, design and installation offering.
Colin Vye and Mark Godfrey instructed KBS on the sale of the business as part of their wider retirement plans.
Steve Alcock was excited to present the opportunity to the market, owing to recent interest in engineering companies across the wider M&A industry.
“I knew Marcol would prove to be popular as an engineering specialist,” advised Steve. “I’ve seen other businesses in this sector generate significant interest over the previous few months, including Metaltech Precision Engineers Ltd.”
Eager to facilitate an expansion of operations in South West England, Waterlooville-based IEP was the successful acquirer.
IEP has over 37 years of experience in the plastics engineering market and is a working partner of industry leaders such as AGRU, Röchling and ER&GE.
Steve added: “These are two businesses with great synergies. They’ll be able to share products, cross-pollinate and offer a complete plastics solution.
“IEP is in a strong position in its regional market and now has the capital and resources to pursue further acquisitions over the coming years.
“I wish Marcol and IEP the best in the future and hope they can grow successfully together.”
