Our Group, has offices throughout the UK and in Dubai, Cayman Islands and Cyprus, raised over £50,000 against a £25,000 target as their team to walked, ran, cycled, and swam 25,000 miles for charity.

Our Group, set their employees the challenge to collectively travel 25,000 miles – one trip around the globe – in just 30 days to raise £25,000 for charity.

Between 13th January and 11th February, K3’s employees throughout the UK, Cyprus, the Cayman Islands, and Dubai, walked, ran, cycled, and swam the entire 25,000 miles, with the Board at K3 generously matching each mile to the tune of £1 to contribute the entire £25,000 target.

Additional donations were raised through the Group’s JustGiving page and offline donations directly from sponsors, which resulted in the company more than doubling their initial goal and raising over £50,000.

Group CEO, John Rigby, commented: “I would like to say a huge thank you and a massive well done to everyone who has taken part and made this event such a success.

“We have not only hit our mileage target with a day to spare, but we have so far raised over £50,000, which is something that we should all be extremely proud of.

“We have seen a real team spirit and positivity amongst our employees which, couple with the £50,000 raised so far, has made this appeal a success beyond which we could have ever hoped for.

“I sincerely appreciate the efforts of our employees and the generosity of those who have donated, and as a Group we are very proud of the difference we will make to these charities and their beneficiaries.”

The money raised will be donated to sixteen charities across the world including, Alder Hey Children’s Charity, NSPCC, Mind, WeSeeHope, Bowel Cancer UK, Bolton Hospice, Limbless Association, High Five, Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Service at Royal Derby Hospitals, NCVO’s Nadine Andreas Foster Home, The Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society, St. Rocco’s Hospice, Demelza Hospice Care for Children, Centrepoint, Meningitis Now, and Little Lady Locks.

Vickie Butcher, NSPCC Community Fundraising Manager, said: “This is an amazing challenge, and we’re hugely grateful to everyone at K3 Capital Group PLC for their support in raising essential funds for the NSPCC.

“Every £4 raised could help our Childline service offer a counselling session to a young person in their hour of need, so these wonderful fundraisers could have already changed the lives of 500 children across the UK.”
