KBS Corporate, a leading provider of business sales brokerage and consultancy services, has advised on the sale of Ekman Cleave Films Ltd and its subsidiary Armstrong Bradley Ltd.
Ekman Cleave Films was established in 1966 by Dr John Walker, specifically to service the highly specialised needs of the plastic packaging industry. The company, which serves around 40 clients, was acquired by Plastribution, a £62 million turnover trade buyer.
Plastribution operates in Leicestershire and Cambridgeshire and is a highly progressive and industry leading distributor of plastic raw materials for injection moulding, extrusion and blow moulding customers, and is owned by the Japanese multi-national firm Itochu.
KBS saw a surge of acquisition activity in 2013 and are anticipating this to increase even further over the forthcoming year, as the UK continues to see strong buyer demand and investment appetite for companies across a range of sectors.
Guy Haynes, Senior Deal Executive at KBS Corporate led the deal through to completion and said: “Dr. John Walker has built up a successful business over many years with a strong, loyal client base, and is highly regarded within his field.
“Plastribution provides an ideal platform to take John’s work to the next level, and I am sure that the good relationship between the two parties leading up to the transaction will continue post-acquisition.”
