First Call Employment Ltd has been acquired by A24 Group Ltd for an undisclosed sum, assisted in negotiations by KBS Corporate.
Essex based, £1.7m turnover First Call Employment Ltd is a recruitment agency that focuses on the placement of temporary workers primarily in catering, industrial and domestic environments. Highly regarded for its flexibility and professionalism, First Call has worked hard to ensure that its name is prevalent within its industry and has established excellent customer relationships.
The acquirer, £57m turnover, Surrey based A24 Group Ltd is a privately owned medical staffing agency that has traded successfully since 1996 and now operates globally, supplying locum doctors, agency nurses, AHPs and HCA care assistants to healthcare service organisations, who include hospitals and primary care providers, prisons and care homes, insurance and other companies. With a strategic growth plan in place, the acquisition of First Call will assist in further developing A24 Group’s customer base and allow them to penetrate additional synergistic sectors.
Full terms of the deal, which completed on 30th July 2013, have not been publicly disclosed, however it is understood that First Call will continue to trade as the same name as a subsidiary of A24 Group.
Ryan Bilsborough, Deal Executive at KBS Corporate who advised on the sale, comments “I am delighted that this was a straightforward cash on completion deal, which resulted in a quick transaction for my clients Brian and Jennifer. The advantage of being acquired by such a large trade buyer meant they were offered an immediate exit from the business, whilst safeguarding the remaining employees’ future. I extend my best wishes to my clients for the future.”
