EXACT LOGISTICS ON TRACK FOR AN EXCITING FUTURE AFTER SALE

Exact Logistics is poised to enjoy a “promising future” following the company’s sale overseen by Matthew Sibley, KBS Corporate Associate Director.

Exact Logistics is poised to enjoy a “promising future” following the company’s sale overseen by Matthew Sibley, KBS Corporate Associate Director.

Based in Rugby, Exact Logistics was founded in 2009 by Adam and Karen Shuter with the aim of delivering exceptional palletised freight delivery services to businesses in Warwickshire.

The company has subsequently expanded to offer final-mile distribution for European international hauliers, primarily German, and has recently established an in-house customs clearance team.

After attracting a large amount of interest, mostly from trade buyers but also investment companies and private investors, Exact Logistics was acquired by OnLogistics, a West Midlands-based business specialising in e-commerce and order fulfilment services.

OnLogistics, with over 19 years of experience, provides streamlined logistics solutions for a wide range of industries, including automotive, aerospace, healthcare and fitness. The business is committed to optimising operations and delivering exceptional customer experiences to allow for scalability and expansion.

In an exciting new period of growth for the company, the acquisition will give Exact Logistics long-term opportunities for business expansion and provide its customers with an extensive range of delivery solutions alongside its current offering.

Adam and Karen Shuter will continue as Directors of Exact Logistics, as the business continues to operate as a separate entity and remains a shareholder member of Pall-Ex, a network of independent hauliers. Existing customers should expect no change to their current services or points of contact.

“We are incredibly proud of our team and the strong relationships we have built with our customers over the years,” said Karen Shuter. “We are confident Exact Logistics will thrive under new ownership, with a promising future ahead.

“Importantly, OnLogistics is a family business just like ours and shares the same values, particularly when it comes to customer service.”

Karen also expressed satisfaction with the part played by KBS Corporate in facilitating the deal, adding: “KBS and Matthew Sibley supported us throughout the whole transaction. They marketed the company very professionally and we are very happy with how the process was conducted.”

Nick Bennett, Managing Director of OnLogistics, said of the acquisition: “I’m thrilled to be leading Exact Logistics on the next stage of its journey. Our portfolios are complementary, so we can exploit the synergies to support customers to grow across sectors as well as geographically throughout Europe.”

Matthew Sibley was also delighted with the outcome of the transaction, having highlighted the appeal of Exact Logistics as an acquisition opportunity.

“I knew we could complete the transfer of ownership for Exact Logistics, with how well placed they are to deal with the modern demands of international trade with Exact’s European client base and the innate attractiveness of their ability to complete customs clearance,” Matthew explained.

Matthew and Karen each expressed thanks to Eleanor Smith of the Alston Asquith law firm.

Exact Logistics was also advised by Simon Chapman of Burgis & Bullock accountancy services.

OnLogistics was advised by Melissa Danks of 43 Legal.
