Easimovals, a commercial removals and storage company based in Dumbarton, Scotland has been sold to local trade buyer R.B. Steel & Co., after only six months on the market with KBS Corporate, a specialist in company sales and brokerage services.
Established in 1981 by owner James McCarry, Easimovals quickly developed an enviable local reputation for offering a high quality, reliable and personal removal service. This reputation assisted Easimovals in developing long standing trading relationships as an approved removal contractor to local authorities and other large west of Scotland companies including BAE Systems.
The acquirer, R.B. Steel & Co, based less than seven miles away in Old Kilpatrick, was established in 1959 by Robert Steel and operates within the logistics, warehousing, general haulage, commercial property, self storage, commercial removals and house removals sectors.
The acquisition, which completed on 17th December for an undisclosed sum will enable R.B. Steel and Co. to absorb Easimovals’ existing operations into its own and expand both its geographical coverage and service offering, additionally allowing a gateway into Easimovals’ desirable customer base.
Corporate Deal Executive Ryan Bilsborough of KBS Corporate who assisted with negotiations on behalf of James McCarry at Easimovals commented, “There was a clear synergistic fit between buyer and seller, particularly given their locality to one another. I am thoroughly delighted that we were able to agree a deal that allowed my client James to retire but also ensured security for his entire staff post sale.”
