K3 CAPITAL GROUP SUPPORTS FARNWORTH & KEARSLEY FOODBANK

A K3 Capital Group supplier, Ciconi, has made a £1,991.72 donation to the Farnworth & Kearsley Foodbank on our behalf.

A K3 Capital Group supplier, Ciconi, has made a £1,991.72 donation to the Farnworth & Kearsley Foodbank on our behalf.

As part of Ciconi’s charitable scheme, Ciconi Mail®, our partner makes a donation for each mailing item we dispatch.

Opened in November 2012, the Farnworth & Kearsley Foodbank has provided over 35,000 three-day emergency supplies to local people in crisis.

The food bank is facilitated by Farnworth Baptist Church and forms part of a wider community support network.

As non-profit, charitable organisations, foodbanks are committed to providing a wide variety of nutrition for people affected by poverty and the rising cost of living.

A representative of the food bank commented on K3’s contribution to the charity: “This donation will help us to help those within our community who are struggling to afford food.”

Gary Edwards, K3’s Head of Marketing and Data, is pleased to see Ciconi’s generosity supporting charities in our group’s community.

“As a group founded in Bolton 25 years ago, it’s a pleasure that we can contribute to the Farnworth & Kearsley Foodbank and assist local families, working together to stop hunger and fight poverty,” said Gary.

“This furthers our support of foodbanks local to K3’s head office, some of which have previously collected multiple boxes filled with donated items to demonstrate how we have embraced the opportunity to help those in need.”

The Farnworth & Kearsley Foodbank is seeded by the Trussell Trust, a network of over 1,300 foodbanks in the UK.

Between April 2022 and March 2023, the Trussell Trust’s foodbanks provided three million food supplies to people in crisis, accounting for a 37% increase on the previous year.

Our £1,991.72 donation follows recent donations of £500 to the Billericay Foodbank and directly to the Trussell Trust.

Additionally, the Albert Kennedy Trust (AKT) received £399 from K3 Capital Group as part of our Pride Month initiatives.

AKT have helped over 50,000 young people in the LGBTQ+ community since 1989, with the funds having been raised via the JustGiving page we set up which enabled staff to donate directly via events such as cake sales and company dress-down days.

Gary Wilson of AKT said: “Everyone here would like to say a huge THANK YOU for raising £399. It’s really appreciated and will help us to continue to support the young LBBTQ+ people that need us.”
