Macmillan Game Heroes: Stephen Alcock and Daniel Buono

KBS Corporate Deal Executives Stephen Alcock and Daniel Buono are supporting Macmillan Cancer Support.

Not all heroes wear capes.

KBS Corporate Deal Executives Stephen Alcock and Daniel Buono are supporting Macmillan Cancer Support by participating in a sponsored gaming marathon on January 6 2024 (postponed from original date due to unforeseen circumstances).

As Macmillan Game Heroes, Stephen and Daniel will complete a challenging 24-hour gaming stream to support people living with cancer.

Launched as Game Changers in 2016, Game Heroes is a successful fundraising event which sees Macmillan engage with new supporters from the ever-growing gaming community.

Gamers can participate solo or as part of a team, creating a network of fundraisers across the streaming platform Twitch.

While Daniel will be participating for the first time, Stephen became a Game Hero in 2021, raising £850 for Macmillan.

Stephen said: “Once I heard the news that one of my friends’ family members had been diagnosed with cancer, I organised a Game Heroes stream with a target of raising as much money as possible.

“Cancer is a struggle for too many of us and Macmillan expects 3.5 million people will be living with the disease by 2025. We have set a target to raise £1,000 to support Macmillan’s cause and the great work they do throughout the UK.”

The provisional stream schedule, starting at Saturday lunchtime, is:

12pm: Call of Duty Cold War (Gunfight Tournament)

4pm: Modern Warfare 3 (Multiplayer & Warzone)

11pm: For Honour (Multiplayer)

1am: Back 4 Blood (Campaign Run Through)

8am: Fall Guys (Multiplayer)

10am: MW3 (Multiplayer)
