”My business partner and I were looking to sell our business as part of a 15 year plan. We approached a number of selling agents and reviewed available info on each. Steve conducted a presentation to our senior management team about the process and gave an indication of the value of the business based on multiples and industry type from previous sales data.
This all fitted with our expectations so we proceeded with the initial marketing fee. Jay Singh was then allocated to us as our consultant and a marketing prospectus was generated following a detailed analysis of our business. Prior to marketing our business, we were issued with a list of prospective buyers and these were combined with our own list of suggestions. We were very particular about the type of buyer we would deal with which narrowed the list considerably. Within a month we had a handful of prospects and qualified leads.
