KBS engineers second deal in a year with growing investment group

Adcam Fabrications, a well-established precision engineering and fabrication firm, has become the second company sold by KBS Corporate to strategic investor Parklands Capital in 11 months.

Operating since 2006, following a management buy-out of a different company, Adcam was founded by David Mason, Christopher Roberts and Tony Taylor and is headquartered in Lichfield, Staffordshire.

The company’s 22,000 sq ft facility houses its laser cutting, forming, specialist welding and in-house paint operations, while a secondary premises in Rugeley is a structural welding site dedicated to large welded assemblies manufactured to top-tier industry standards.

Adcam specialises in supplying high-quality components to the nuclear and defence industries, as well as multiple rail networks, renewable energy providers and the retail sector.

In a transaction advised by Guy Haynes, KBS Corporate Director, Adcam was acquired by Parklands Capital, a precision engineering manufacturing group founded in 2024 by Tony Rudden and Charlie Sharman.

Tony Taylor, co-owner of Adcam, will remain with the business and continue to support its next phase of growth.

“Adcam has built its reputation on precision, quality and the ability to evolve with our customers’ needs,” said Tony. “Joining the Parklands Capital group will allow us to strengthen our capabilities further and invest in our people and facilities, as well as offering our customers an even broader range of high-quality manufacturing solutions.

“I look forward to working with Tony and Charlie to continue developing the business.”

Parklands executes a disciplined buy, build and hold strategy across the fragmented metal fabrication and laser cutting markets, focusing on profitable, asset-backed businesses with strong customer relationships and a highly skilled workforce.

Laser Expertise was the previous company Parklands acquired through KBS in February 2025.

“Adcam is an exceptional business with a track record of delivering reliable, high-quality products to demanding sectors,” commented Charlie Sharman, co-founder and CIO of Parklands Capital.

“Tony, David and Chris have built a company with deep engineering expertise and a customer-first mindset that aligns perfectly with our strategy.

“With Parklands’ support infrastructure, Adcam will be able to expand its capabilities, invest in technology and continue offering market-leading service while benefiting from the scale of our growing group.”
