Channel Fire acquired by Alpine Group

Channel Fire set to scale new heights with Alpine Group
Fire protection company Channel Fire has been sold to Alpine Group in a deal described as an “exciting next step” by one of the directors whose exit was facilitated by KBS.
Founded in 2015 and based in New Romney, just yards from the Kent coastline, Channel Fire designs, installs and maintains fire alarms, sprinklers and gas suppression systems.
The company has become highly respected for its bespoke solutions where standard approaches are not always suitable, as well as its experienced engineering team, strong customer relationships and consistent delivery to recognised industry standards.
In a transaction advised by Andrew Dodd, KBS Corporate Director, Channel Fire’s shareholders, Brett Comber and Luke Huckerby, agreed a sale to Greater Manchester-based Alpine Group, a leading ESG fire suppression company.
Channel Fire will strengthen Alpine’s capability to deliver accredited fire suppression and detection solutions across complex, high-risk and technically demanding environments.
“Joining Alpine Group is an exciting next step,” said Brett Comber, Director of Channel Fire. “This partnership allows us to continue supporting our customers as we always have, while benefiting from the scale and support of a wider group.
“I’m incredibly proud of the Channel Fire team and what we’ve built together and genuinely excited about what this partnership means for our people, our customers and what comes next.”
The acquisition supports Alpine Group’s ongoing strategy to expand its Special Risk capability, enhancing the ability to support customers operating in mission-critical and regulated environments.
“Channel Fire is a specialist business with a strong reputation for accredited fire protection solutions in complex environments,” commented Claire Owens, CEO of Alpine Group.
“Their technical expertise, values and approach align closely with ours and we are pleased to welcome Brett, Luke and the wider Channel Fire team into the group.”
Legal services for Channel Fire were provided by K3 Law, a sister company of KBS Corporate within the K3 Capital Group.
KBS Corporate’s Andrew Dodd was delighted to bring the transaction to a successful conclusion and commented: “It was a pleasure to work with all parties and I wish them the very best in their future endeavours.”
