Testing Services (UK) acquired by PTSG

When Testing Services (UK) co-founder Jon Roberts joined forces with KBS Corporate, he formed new friendships as well as selling his company successfully.

Jon established Heckmondwike-based Testing Services in 2003 and the business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality electrical inspection and compliance-led services to customers across the UK.

The company also provides emergency lighting inspections, fire alarm and extinguisher works and associated remedial services, employing a highly skilled team of engineers and technical specialists across a wide range of commercial and industrial environments.

A transaction advised by Jacob Lord, KBS Corporate Associate Director, and Jack Tyldsley, Corporate Transaction Executive, resulted in the sale of Testing Services to Premier Technical Services Group (PTSG) – which was making its second acquisition of 2026 via KBS, the first having been lightning protection specialist Earth Tech.

Jon Roberts will remain with the business to continue leading its development as part of PTSG. In posting a five-star online review of our services, the Huddersfield Town FC supporter hailed the close bond he had formed with his KBS advisers throughout the transaction process – which extended to light-hearted football banter.

The acquisition further strengthens PTSG’s Electrical Services division, with the Group firmly established as one of the UK’s three leading electrical services contractors.

Testing Services will complement PTSG’s existing electrical platform, working alongside established businesses within the Group to expand technical capability and support continued growth across multiple client sectors.
