JM Partnership to build a stronger future with enevo

JM Partnership has joined enevo in a deal advised by KBS Corporate – creating one of the UK’s largest privately owned Registered Building Control Approvers.

Established in 1997 from a single office in Chatham, Kent, JM Partnership has subsequently experienced controlled growth and now also operates from locations in Sussex and Derbyshire.

The company has built an outstanding reputation for its independence, technical expertise and personal approach as a corporate approved inspector specialising in building control.

In a transaction advised by Oliver Rigby, KBS Corporate Deal Executive, JM Partnership has become part of enevo, a national building consultancy providing Testing, Inspection, Certification and Compliance (TICC) services across the built environment.

Based in Birstall, West Yorkshire, with further offices in London, Manchester and Darlington, enevo supports clients across building control, safety and compliance, helping developers, architects and duty-holders deliver safe and compliant projects nationwide.

A statement from JM Partnership to announce the collaboration read: “This marks the next step in our journey as a trusted Registered Building Control Approver, and we are excited to be joining forces with a business that shares our commitment to technical excellence, integrity and client-focused service.

“Like JM Partnership, enevo has built its reputation on quality, professionalism and personal relationships. Together, we are creating a stronger, nationwide team with more resources, shared expertise and access to an even wider range of services for clients.

“What this partnership adds is the reassurance of a larger national organisation behind us, and we remain privately owned and fully independent as an RBCA.

“We are proud of what the JMP team has achieved over the last couple of decades and are positive and excited about this next chapter. Together with enevo, we now form one of the UK’s largest independent building control teams, supporting clients across the country.”

Stuart Martin, formerly Associate Director at JM Partnership, will continue to lead the business as Divisional Director for the South, working closely with enevo’s leadership team.

Oliver Bentley, Managing Director at enevo, commented: “Our vision is to become one of the UK’s largest privately owned built environment TICC companies by 2027.

“This move takes us a step closer to that goal, strengthening our building control division, broadening our national reach and creating more opportunities for staff and clients alike.”

KBS Corporate’s Oliver Rigby was delighted to bring the transaction to a successful conclusion and expressed his thanks to Eleanor Smith of Alston Asquith for legal services provided.
