Parco acquired by Ipsum Group

Ipsum sustains its acquisition charge with EV solutions deal
Specialist engineering solutions provider Ipsum Group has completed its third acquisition through KBS Corporate in 16 months, adding Parco to its expanding portfolio.
The transaction comprises Parco Civil Engineering & Groundworks and its sister company Parco EV Solutions. Based in Fareham, Hampshire, Parco’s engineering operation was incorporated in 2018 and the EV division was established three years later.
Parco’s two firms provide bespoke EV charging point solutions including design, survey, installation, connection and maintenance. It also utilises its proprietary back-office software to give customers complete control and rich insights to run a successful EV charging service.
The move strengthens Chorley-based Ipsum’s existing EV offering, and the collaboration means the businesses can now offer a comprehensive turnkey solution entirely in-house, from design and civils to installation and maintenance. This can be combined with supporting capabilities from the wider Ipsum Group.
Ipsum is a leading provider of engineering services in the power, water, infrastructure and technology sectors. It utilises a data-driven approach and technologically enhanced methodologies such as no-dig and trenchless technologies to provide quicker, greener and more cost-efficient delivery of engineering, maintenance and repair services.
“Joining forces with Ipsum through this acquisition represents a significant step forward in our growth ambitions,” said Michael Hand, Parco’s Managing Director.
“It gives us the opportunity to provide our EV charging expertise to a wider group of customers, while leveraging Ipsum’s domain knowledge in other areas of infrastructure solutions, which will accelerate innovation and enhance our capabilities in an evolving industry.”
Parco director Jamie Allen commented:“Through this partnership, we are now able to bring our extensive EV capabilities to a wider range of businesses through an even more integrated and sustainable delivery model.
“Working alongside Ipsum will position us strongly to meet the ever growing demands of the energy transition, and we are excited to see where it will take us.”
The acquisition further bolsters Ipsum’s headcount of over 1,000 employees, which also increased when KBS advised on the sale of Shropshire transmission and distribution services provider Wootton & Wootton in March 2025, and Stoke-on-Trent electrical installation and maintenance contractor Site Energy in August 2024.
“Since I joined Ipsum last year, we’ve been on an upward trajectory of growth,” said Andrew Cowan, Ipsum’s CEO.
“We know how important easily accessible EV charging is to the UK’s sustainability goals, but it also plays a crucial part in building strong communities. We are proud to have established ourselves as a full turnkey EV solutions provider and this acquisition paves the way to maximising our combined capabilities.”
Luke Rae, KBS Corporate Deal Executive, who advised on the transaction, commented: “I’m delighted that the process has reached such a successful conclusion and I wish all parties the very best in the future.”
