C & F Millier, a long-established manufacturer of high-precision components for the aviation industry, has been sold to Corvero Group in a deal advised by KBS Corporate.

Founded in 1946, and based in the heart of Bristol’s Filton Enterprise Area, C & F Millier has achieved an impressive track record of engineering excellence, supplying bespoke metal products to clients internationally in the commercial aerospace and defence (A&D) sector.

The company has become the first acquisition made by Corvero Group – a part of the Ansor LLP investment portfolio – which was taking an initial step in its mission to consolidate and advance the best of UK precision manufacturing, and thus create a unified strategic partner for the global A&D industry.

Corvero described the acquisition, which was advised by Luke Rae, KBS Corporate Deal Executive, as a major milestone, underlining its commitment to the South West of England’s A&D ecosystem.

“C & F Millier is a great first acquisition to start Corvero’s journey,” said Tom Senior, Corporate Development Director at Corvero.

“We have inherited a great team led by Andy Stuckes and Chris Morton, with a strong industry reputation. Combined with its great location in Bristol, there is huge potential here to grow and do more for our customers.

“We are incredibly excited for the future as we continue to invest in, and advance, best-in-class UK manufacturing capability.”

Andy Stuckes, Managing Director at C & F Millier, commented: “Joining the Corvero family is a proud moment for our team, and I’m incredibly positive about what lies ahead.

“Since 1946, C & F has been defined by precision and reliability, and I truly feel Corvero provides the strategic backing and investment needed to help take C & F to the next stage of our evolution. This partnership allows us to scale our capabilities while maintaining the high standards our customers expect.”

Chris Morton, Business Development Director at C & F Millier, said: “This acquisition is the best thing that could have happened for the business.

“Our ‘passport to trade’ has always been our long-standing approvals and the trust we’ve built with Tier 1 and OEM clients over five decades. Becoming part of Corvero enhances our ability to serve these partners with even greater resources and reach.”

Josh Wheal, Head of M&A at Ansor LLP, said: “I’d like to thank the trusted advisers who worked on this transaction, including Harriet Jones and Guvvy Sandhu of Mackrell LLP and KBS Corporate’s Luke Rae. Looking forward to the next chapter, backing a phenomenal management team.”

Luke Rae commented: “It was a pleasure working with all parties on a deal which reflects an impressive, ambitious engineering growth strategy which is sure to benefit both C & F Millier and Corvero going forward. I wish both businesses the very best for the future.”
