Mason O’Shea, Corporate Sales Manager, reflects on his journey at KBS Corporate since joining us in April 2024. He shares how early trust, strong support and clear progression opportunities helped him move quickly into leadership, and why KBS is the first company where he has felt he is building a genuine career in sales…

“My time at KBS Corporate has been nothing short of amazing. While no sales role is ever easy, it is rare to find one that is as rewarding as this.

“I have worked in sales for eight to nine years, and although I performed well against KPIs in other companies, I have never been given the level of trust or opportunity that KBS has offered me.

“I joined the business in April 2024 and after a short period of training, quickly hit the ground running. Within my first 12 months, I was promoted to Team Leader, which was a significant step for me at the time. This new challenge helped me realise skills I did not know I had.

“Seven months later, I progressed again into a management role, taking over the team I had previously been a part of. This brought new challenges and has allowed me to grow, not only professionally but also personally.

“While these promotions were the result of my own hard work, they were also supported by a manager who actively championed me. This reflects the strong progression opportunities at KBS and demonstrates that internal promotion is clearly valued by management.

“Beyond progression, the people at KBS are fantastic. Everyone works together to achieve shared goals and the whole office gets along well, whether at work, at social events or day to day. The people are genuinely my favourite part of working here.

“There are several work events throughout the year, held at great venues with food and drink included, alongside ad hoc incentive nights out or team meals. These rewards recognise and celebrate hard work.

“The role itself is both challenging and rewarding. Due to the nature of the work, every client conversation is different, which keeps each day engaging. There are many skills and areas of knowledge to develop that also benefit you outside of work.
