Diamond set for sparkling future under new ownership

Diamond Air Conditioning has been sold to PCB Technical Solutions, a part of the Sescom Group, in a transaction focused on delivering geographical expansion to the north of the UK.

Founded in 2007 by William Drummond and Brian Boyd, Diamond is an HVAC specialist which designs, installs and maintains air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing, heating and electrical systems from its base in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, to clients across Scotland and the North of England.

The acquisition will enable PCB, which is based in High Wycombe but operates nationally, to significantly expand its geographical scope, establishing synergies which will deliver increased value to clients through the combined strengths of the partnership.

PCB was itself acquired by Sescom, a Polish retail-focused technical facilities management group, in a 2023 transaction advised on by Quantuma, one of KBS Corporate’s fellow companies in the K3 Capital Group.

“We are excited to join the PCB/Sescom family, a milestone that marks a new chapter for Diamond,” said Neil Drummond, Managing Director of Diamond Air Conditoning.

“PCB and Sescom Europe share our vision and values, and their resources and expertise will elevate what we’ve built.

“We are grateful to our team for their dedication, our customers for their trust and our new partners for this opportunity. Here’s to the future!”

Sandra van Rossum, Managing Director of PCB Technical Solutions, commented: “Teaming up with Diamond under the PCB/Sescom umbrella provides us with the opportunity to expand our service offering in parts of the UK where PCB has limited coverage.

“Diamond’s shared values, coupled with PCB’s support, will significantly enhance our reach into Scotland and Northern England. We are thrilled to work alongside such a professional and committed team as we continue to grow our business.”

Fabio Rambelli, KBS Corporate Associate Director, advised on the transaction, and expressed thanks to Khurshid Valli and his team at K3 Law, as well as K3 Tax and Quantuma for their tax work.

“It’s been a pleasure working with the teams at Diamond and Sescom,” said Fabio.

“I’m delighted we were able to support the sellers in completing a transaction that not only paves the way for Brian Boyd’s well-earned retirement, but also positions Diamond for continued growth and success through its new partnership with Sescom and its UK subsidiary, PCB.

“I extend my best wishes to all parties involved for continued success in their future endeavours.”
