Wirral Roofcare acquired by Foresight Group

Wirral Roofcare has received substantial private equity investment from Foresight Group in a transaction advised upon by KBS Corporate.

Founded in 1982, Wirral Roofcare is an award-winning family-run company which originally serviced clients across Merseyside and Cheshire but has grown into a nationally recognised operator, with contracts across the North West, North East and Midlands.

Much of the company’s business, with over 40 active clients providing repeat, ongoing custom, is through housing associations, with prisons and breweries also contributing significant revenue share.

Following the investment from Foresight, the founders of Wirral Roofcare, Herbert and Denise Williams, have fully exited the company. Their son, Scott Williams, remains a shareholder and will continue as managing director.

Brian Murphy, founder of fire safety and electrical company Fieldway Group, also backed by Foresight, has joined Wirral Roofcare as chair and will support the management team on the next phase of growth.

Foresight specialises in investing into exciting regional businesses, focusing on sustainability-led assets, and has previously also acquired RS Industrial, Rooms & Views Manufacturing and McIntyre Electrical through KBS Corporate.
