Imaginet acquired by Vesta Software Group

Award-winning digital agency Imaginet has been sold to Vesta Software Group, forming a collaboration which both parties consider to be an ideal cultural fit.

Founded in 1995 and based in Cardiff, Imaginet is a web development agency focused on creating CMS-driven websites and apps that can handle large volumes of transactions.

Imaginet specialises in the transport sector and caters to a range of clients with its offering which also comprises cloud solutions, data and AI, cyber security and managed IT services.

Selected to create a bilingual app in English and Welsh to give consumers easier access to up-to-date information and to purchase tickets for their journeys, Imaginet’s Transport for Wales Passenger App was named Digital Champion at the Transport Ticketing awards.

In a deal led by Will Griffiths, KBS Corporate Transaction Adviser, Imaginet was sold to Vesta, an Oxfordshire-based group which operates more than 35 independently managed software brands around the world. Vesta provides its companies with the strategic guidance and financial security required to be leaders in their respective markets.

Both Imaginet and Vesta believe the two parties are perfectly aligned in the values that will enable them to jointly prosper.
