RD Laboratory acquired by Swift Dental Laboratory

RD Laboratory Limited specialise in the production of high-quality dental prosthetics, ceramics and orthodontics for the NHS and private dentists throughout Scotland.

The company was established in 1989 and offers a wide range of products including dentures, implants, crowns and bridges, chrome cobalt, study models, gum shields and bite splints. RD Laboratory Limited has developed a strong reputation for early adaption of new innovative technology such as, a 3D shape scanner. The company also holds DAMAS accreditation which has allowed exclusive access to BUPA and Integrated Dental Holdings clients.

The shareholders of RD Laboratory Limited instructed KBS Corporate with the sale of their business in order to facilitate their retirement plans. KBS Corporate’s comprehensive research RD Laboratory Limited attracted a range of interest, with the majority coming from trade buyers.

The successful offer came from Swift Dental Laboratory Ltd, trading as Swift Dental Group, based in Bolton. The company was established in 1984 and is the UK’s largest dental laboratory group. Swift Dental Group operates on a national basis, with a focus on quality, integrity, friendliness and personal service.  The laboratory also boasts high-quality products which comply with MHRA, GDC and DAMAS standards and a loyal workforce, many of whom have stayed with Swift Dental Group in excess of 20 years.
