Linear’s sale to UKC Group engineered with precision

Highly respected machining services company Linear Precision Engineers has been sold to UKC Group in a transaction led by KBS Corporate.

Founded in 1987 and based in West Byfleet, Surrey, Linear has achieved an excellent reputation for high-quality metal and plastic CNC machining, establishing long-standing relationships with clients in sectors including aerospace, defence and architecture.

Linear will continue to operate under its existing successful brand following its sale – which was led by Luke Rae, KBS Corporate Deal Executive – to UKC, maintaining continuity for customers whilst benefiting from the wider support and investment of the Group.

Essex-based UKC Group is a supply chain and engineering partner which specialises in the aviation and marine industries, holding a stock inventory of 114 million parts.

The acquisition of Linear aligns with UKC’s long-term strategy of growing a group of specialised engineering and manufacturing businesses, bringing together capabilities that span the full product lifecycle, from design and prototyping to production and assembly.

“Joining UKC Group is a fantastic opportunity for Linear,” said Andy Allan, Managing Director of Linear. “We share a strong culture of quality and innovation, and I’m confident this partnership will provide new avenues for Linear’s growth while preserving the values that have driven our success for over 30 years.”

Imran Khan, UKC’s Group Managing Director, commented: “We are excited to welcome Linear into the UKC family. Their technical expertise and long-standing relationships in aerospace and defence perfectly complement our strategic vision.

“This acquisition enables us to broaden our offering, scale our operations and better serve our customers with world-class engineering solutions.”

KBS Corporate’s Luke Rae was delighted to bring the transaction to a successful conclusion which will benefit both Linear and UKC going forward.

“It was a pleasure to work on this deal and I wish Andy and everyone at Linear and UKC the very best for the future,” he said.
