London Lintels acquired by Milbank Group

London Lintels joins Milbank Group to build stronger future
London Lintels, a leading independent distributor of construction materials, has been sold to Milbank Group in a deal advised on by KBS Corporate.
Despite its name, London Lintels is based in Winchester, Hampshire, and since 2011 has been supplying steel, concrete and brickwork-associated building products to customers across the South of England.
With an extensive stock range from the industry’s principal manufacturers, the company has earned an impressive reputation for its product knowledge, customer service and reliability as a key partner in the construction supply chain.
In a transaction advised on by Guy Haynes, KBS Corporate Director, and K3 Law, London Lintels was sold to Milbank Group, a privately owned investment company based in Colchester, Essex.
Steve Barnett, Managing Director of London Lintels, will continue in his current role, ensuring continuity for both staff and customers.
“I’m proud of what we’ve achieved at London Lintels and delighted to be joining the Milbank Group,” commented Steve.
“Their commitment to long-term investment and sustainability makes them a great fit for our business. With their support, we look forward to strengthening our service offering, growing our team and exploring new opportunities.
“This is an exciting new chapter for us and we are eager to build on our success with the backing of a supportive and forward-thinking group.”
London Lintels joins a portfolio of Milbank Group businesses which includes operations in the construction, agriculture, manufacturing, marketing and retail sectors.
The group’s origins date back to the 1820s when G Milbank & Son was founded as a builder and undertaker’s firm before evolving through successive generations of the family, with Milbank Concrete Products offering obvious present-day synergies to London Lintels.
Milbank Group was drawn to London Lintels by its strong operational foundations, customer-first approach and experienced team.
“The company’s expertise in navigating the fast-paced and demanding environment of the construction sector aligns well with the group’s ethos of operational excellence and service leadership,” read a statement from Milbank Group.
Ashley Perkins, Milbank Group’s Marketing Manager, added: “This acquisition is another step in our ambitious growth journey as we continue to invest in exceptional businesses that closely align with our values: integrity, stewardship, sustainability and a commitment to people and communities.”
