Davis & Birch acquired by Evolving Enterprises

By Luke Rae

Now the future is evolving for Davis & Birch

Davis & Birch, which offers top-quality mechanical engineering services to the building industry, has been sold in a deal overseen by Luke Rae, KBS Corporate Deal Executive.

Originally formed in 1952 and incorporated in 2000, Davis & Birch is based in Redditch, Worcestershire and specialises in a wide range of plumbing, heating and ventilation services to retail, commercial and industrial projects.

Specifically, the services provided include air conditioning, industrial pipework, domestic water services, gas and electrical installations, above-ground drainage and control systems.

Among the projects on which Davis & Birch has worked was developing and bringing to fruition the first ever cinema in a department store at Selfridges on Oxford Street in London.

Shareholders Charles and Kim Wall commissioned KBS to orchestrate a sale which would facilitate their retirement plans.

The successful acquirer was Evolving Enterprises, a privately-owned dynamic group which acquires well-established companies operating in the industrial manufacturing and engineering sectors in the UK.

Luke Rae was delighted to successfully complete the transaction and said: “It was a pleasure to work on the deal with Charles and Kim at Davis & Birch and being able to fulfil their retirement plans.”

Also instrumental during the process were Sara Fletcher, KBS Senior Corporate Document Writer, for creating the promotional materials for the Davis & Birch opportunity, and Sheryl Dawson, Senior Research Admin Support, for buyer research.
