SolarKW acquired by Upvolt

SolarKW founder praises “exceptional” KBS service
KBS Corporate has received a glowing endorsement from the vendor of SolarKW following the company’s sale to Upvolt.
Keith Willis founded SolarKW, a winner of the Best Solar Panel Installation Company title at the SME Energy & Power Awards. From its Didcot base, SolarKW services Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Wiltshire.
“Keith joined the industry in 2010 when solar energy really kicked off in the UK,” explained Luke Rae, KBS Corporate Deal Executive, who advised throughout the sale to Upvolt.
“The business not only survived through many ups and downs in its industry but achieved many awards along the way, capitalising on the development of solar/renewable energy technology to aid the global effort to combat climate change.
“Amid an evolving solar power industry, with some big movers entering the marketplace, Keith wanted to be part of something bigger for ongoing business stability and growth – and has teamed up with an acquirer which utilises innovative technology.”
That buyer is Upvolt, a fast-growing leader in renewable energy solutions, whose acquisition of SolarKW is the company’s first step in an ambitious expansion plan aimed at cementing its position as a premier installer and provider of smart solar systems across the UK.
Keith was so thrilled with the service provided by KBS in overseeing his company’s sale that he posted two separate five-star reviews on TrustPilot and Google.
On TrustPilot, Keith wrote: “From the very outset, the experience has been exceptional. Luke in particular was extremely knowledgeable, gave great advice throughout the business sale process and was always available to act as a sounding board, being very important.
“Ultimately, the business was sold for a very acceptable price and I could not recommend KBS more highly. Thank you.”
Referencing the timely manner of the transaction’s completion, Keith wrote on Google: “A first-class experience selling the business through KBS. Luke, my account manager, was brilliant and all was completed to a tight deadline.”
Going forward, SolarKW will be branded as Upvolt Oxfordshire, with the company actively seeking to acquire additional businesses in the renewable energy sector over the coming months to solidify its market leadership and drive the transition to a greener, smarter energy future.
“We are delighted to welcome SolarKW to the Upvolt family,” said Alex Lomax, Upvolt’s CEO.
“This acquisition represents the beginning of an exciting journey for Upvolt as we expand our capabilities, scale our operations and deliver cutting-edge renewable energy solutions to homes and businesses across the UK.
“SolarKW has a fantastic reputation in the industry, and together we are poised to lead the way in making clean, sustainable energy accessible to all.
“To our SolarKW customers – rest assured our priority is to ensure a smooth transition and you will continue to receive the same excellent service and support you’ve trusted over the years.”
