British Olympic cycling team supplier on track for more growth

Greater Manchester-based textile manufacturer Wisla Narrow Fabrics has completed a buy-in management buyout, advised on by KBS Corporate.

Wisla was established in 2004 by husband and wife Edward and Ingrid Kozaczek and supplies technical textiles including webbings, narrow fabrics and specialist webbing straps to a wide variety of sectors.

With a customer base which extends to Europe, America, Asia and Australia, Wisla has supplied the British Olympic cycling team with bespoke straps.

The transaction advised on by Guy Haynes, KBS Corporate Director, provided a shareholder exit for the Kozaczeks, although Edward will continue to work with the new management team of Tom and David Judge.

David brings extensive experience in the manufacturing sector, having previously been the CEO of Cormar Carpets, growing revenues to more than £100m.

Wisla’s facility in Droylsden employs 26 people and the company plans investments in new machinery, recruitment and a continued focus on sales and marketing activity.
