High praise for KBS as Low Energy founder maximises sale value

KBS Corporate has been “highly recommended” by the owner of Low Energy following the solar panel installation company’s sale to Good Energy.

Jason Lowey founded Glasgow-based Low Energy in 2018 and the business has quickly established an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality commercial solar installations and battery storage systems.

In a transaction advised by Sean Clarkson, KBS Corporate Deal Executive, Low Energy was sold to Wiltshire-based Good Energy, enabling the group to enter the Scottish market.

A five-star Trustpilot review posted by Jason Lowey expressed his complete satisfaction with the service provided by Sean, KBS and the wider K3 Advisory Group team, including K3 Law.

“I had not previously sold a business, so the process initially felt quite daunting,” wrote Jason. “However, having Sean at KBS on board made it far more manageable and transparent.

“He kept me informed throughout the process. The marketing was excellent, creating strong interest from the outset which enabled me to maximise the final sale value.

“The transaction process was handled professionally, with clear communication and reassurance provided at every stage. I would highly recommend the services provided. Thank you.”

On the next chapter for the business he founded, Jason commented: “I’m incredibly proud of the Low Energy Services team and what we’ve built, and joining Good Energy Group feels like a fantastic next step for the company. We share a future-aligned approach focused on quality and customer trust at the centre.

“Working as part of Good Energy Group strengthens our offering, giving our existing clients and partners access to greater scale, while enabling us to deliver even more impactful solutions for new customers across the UK from our base in Scotland.”

In addition to reaching new audiences, Good Energy was keen to further enhance its reputation for impressive design, installation and aftercare.

“Good Energy has been providing high-quality, consultative commercial solar installation services to customers in England for the last couple of years, and through Low Energy Services joining the Group we are stepping this up further and branching into Scotland,” said Nigel Pocklinton, Good Energy’s CEO.

“Businesses are increasingly recognising that the commercial rationale for installing solar is strong, even before you consider the benefits of carbon reduction. With energy costs remaining high, businesses and organisations with rooftop real estate can achieve excellent returns on investment.

“We have rapidly scaled our service coverage and capability and positioned ourselves as a trusted provider in the solar market. We will now focus on integrating and welcoming the team at Low Energy Services into Good Energy.”

KBS Corporate’s Sean Clarkson was delighted to see the transaction reach a successful conclusion and commented: “It’s been an absolute privilege to work alongside both parties during the sale, and I have no doubt the future is very bright for both Good Energy and Low Energy.”
