Healthy outlook for CPS after sale to Agentis

Ruhina Kassam, CEO of Clinical Pharmacist Solutions (CPS), has described the company’s rapid growth as it enters an “exciting new phase” after its sale to Agentis Health Group.

Founded in 2019, CPS provides training, recruitment and clinical services to support GP practices and primary care networks (PCNs).

The company has created award-winning training programmes for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, enabling them to deliver a comprehensive range of clinical services that improve efficiency while ensuring excellent patient care.

In a transaction advised by Joe Norris, KBS Corporate Associate Director, CPS has been sold to Brighton-based Agentis, a digital health management specialist backed by LDC. Agentis was established from within Ashtons, a leading UK provider of medicines management and prescribing technologies.

CPS will now have access to Agentis’ Living With platform, a digital health solution used by 40 NHS trusts, community providers and Integrated Care Boards to assess, manage and support patients living with long-term conditions.

In a social media post, Ruhina outlined the opportunities ahead for CPS, explaining how joining forces with a larger organisation would accelerate the progress the company has made in a short space of time.

“I’m incredibly proud to share that Clinical Pharmacist Solutions has been acquired by Agentis,” said Ruhina.

“When I first started at CPS in 2022, we were a small pharmacist-led organisation with a clear belief in the role pharmacy professionals could play in supporting primary care.

“Four years later, CPS supports over 300 GP practices across the UK, with an incredible team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and colleagues delivering clinical services to patients every day.

“There has been a huge amount of work behind that growth, and reaching this point is a significant milestone for CPS and for everyone who has contributed to building the organisation.

“What makes this acquisition particularly exciting is that it isn’t simply about continuing to grow CPS. Becoming part of Agentis Health Group, alongside Living With, gives us the opportunity to combine clinical expertise, workforce and digital technology to develop a much more integrated approach to long-term condition management.”

Ruhina, who will remain at the company’s helm, added: “I’m looking forward to continuing to lead CPS through this next stage and working with Stephen Tuddenham, Toni Betts and the wider Agentis team to build on what we have created.
